The census of 1900 shows Frank and Amelia living in the town of Trenton and Frank was retired, having his own income. They had adopted John Meyer.
After Amelia died, Frank married Anna Maria Spengler in St. Clare’s Catholic Church in O’Fallon. It was her first marriage. In 1910 they were living in Trenton and had adopted Clarence Zeisset, the ninth child of a neighbor.
Frank died of chronic myocarditis atthe age of seventy-six years. His real estate consisted of three lots and an acre of ground in Trenton; and three lots in New Baden. His heirs were his wife, and after her death, his three daughters.
