Richard C. Fahres, age 76, of Sheboygan, died on Wednesday July 9, 2008 at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice with his family by his side. He was born in Sheboygan on May 16, 1932, the son of the late Carl and Helen Reding Fahres. Richard attended Central High School, graduating in 1950. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving his country in Korea. On September 7, 1957 Richard was united in marriage to the former Marilyn Williams at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church. He was employed at the Vollrath Company for 33 years working in the distribution center and he retired in 1995. Richard was a member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, the Vollrath Quarter Century Club and the St. Peter Claver Aid Society. He enjoyed going to Road America, classic cars and spending time with his grandsons, Ian and Matt. Richard is survived by his wife; Marilyn, daughter; Carol(Robert) Mierzwa, son; Kurt(Catherine) Fahres, grandsons; Ian and Matthew Fahres, all of Sheboygan, brother; Jerome(Jo Therese) Fahres, of Milwaukee, brothers-in-law; James(Sharon) Williams, of Sheboygan Falls and Anton(Joanne) Dragan, of Sheboygan, and a sister-in-law; Lois Steitz, of Sheboygan. He is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Dorothy Roszak, brothers-in-law, Willard Roszak and Edgar Steitz, sister-in-law, Elizabeth Dragan, step-mother, Cecelia Fahres, and his mother and father-in-law, John and Cecilia Williams. Richard married Marilyn Ruth Williams, daughter of John A. Williams and Cecilia Gerhartz.
