David J. "Sti" Steinmetz, 58, of 702 Dutchman Dr., Chippewa Falls, died Th ursday, December 4, 2003, at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire. He was born Mar ch 4, 1945, in Chippewa Falls, the son of Ernest S. and Gladys (Attlese y) Steinmetz Sr. He had served in the National Guard. He had worked at Ten neco for 35 years. He married Patricia Goettl on September 27, 1985 at S t. Charles Church, Chippewa Falls.
He is survived by his two brothers, Richard Steinmetz of Chippewa Falls a nd Donald (Shari) Steinmetz of Knapp; four sisters, Mary (John) Mill er of Eau Claire, Janet (Richard) Nosal and Lois Ruf both of Chippewa Fal ls and Rose (David) Meinen of Cadott; goddaughter, Wendy Phillippi; his mo ther-in-law, Edna Goettl of Chippewa Falls; and several nieces and nephe ws and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Pat, on March 3, 2003; h is parents; his father-in-law, Peter Goettl; one brother, Ernest Jr.; a nd two sisters, Joan Rathbun and Carol Jean Steinmetz. .A memorial servi ce will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, December 8, 2003, at the Horan Funeral H ome, Chippewa Falls. Thomas Kinnick will be officiating. A private buri al of cremains will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
