Merle F. Kleinhans, age 76, of W1580 Fur Farm Road New Holstein died unexpectedly Saturday January 6, 2007 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Appleto He was born July 31, 1930 in the Town of New Holstein a son of the late Roman & Leona Koehler Kleinhans. Merle graduated from New Holstein High School in 1947. He served in the Army during the Korean War from August 3, 1951 to April 23, 1953. On October 29, 1955 he married Deloris Drews at Holy Rosary Church in New Holstein. Merle had worked as an independent and subcontracted excavator. Survivors include his wife, Deloris of New Holstein; 6 children, Kathryn Kleinhans of SanFrancisco, CA, Debra (Michael) Ramirez of Dublin, CA, Merle Jr. (Bizhen) Kleinhans of Dublin, CA, James Kleinhans of Buena Park, CA, Kenneth (Jacqueline) Kleinhans of Campbellsport and Barbara Kleinhans of SanFrancisco, CA; 5 grandchildren, Cory, Jessica & Dylan Kleinhans, Erika Ramirez and Devyn Kleinhans.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Elmer "Whity" Kleinhans.
Merle married Deloris Emelia Drews, daughter of Raymond Joseph Drews and Norma Garbe.
