Howard E. Barber, 87, of Sheboygan died Thursday afternoon, September 11, 2008 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. He was born October 7, 1920 in the Town of Plymouth, to Anson and Katherine (Williams) Barber. During World War II he joined the Navy, but received a medical discharge before serving three months. Howard is survived by his cousins, Robert (Eileen) Pagel of Madison, WI, and June Brookshire of Harrison, Missouri; two very close friends, Joseph Johnston and Michelle Scharles both of Sheboygan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ervin and a sister, Viola. He will be laid to rest next to his parents at Woodlawn Cemetery in Plymouth.
